Home > Seen and Heard Awards

The partnership between BT and the UK Youth Parliament is now in its seventh year. A cornerstone of the relationship is the annual Seen and Heard awards and accompanying report.
What are they? The purpose of Seen and Heard is to recognise and reward the achievements of young people who have made a real difference to their own lives and the lives of others. We also recognise adults who have listened to and acted upon the voices of young people.
How to get involved Seen and Heard 2009 is looking to recognise young people who have used their communication skills to tackle an issue that's important to them; and for adults who have made a positive difference to young people's lives.
Nominating a young person To nominate yourself or another young person, you can enter online, or download an entry form and email it back to us.
Nominating an adult To nominate an adult or organisation who has helped young people be Seen and Heard, please tell us in no more than 500 words why you think they deserve an award. Send your nomination to: seenandheard@bt.com
Please tell us how this person or organisation has listened to young people to help them achieve their goals, how their support has been integral to the success of the project, about the project and its results, and about why you are making this nomination.
You can also include testimonials from other young people involved and attach supporting information like press clippings, photos or other media. Please send all information electronically so we can pass it on to our panel of young judges.
Remember to include your name and contact details, together with the name of the person or organisation you are nominating and how you know them.
Download the Seen and Heard 2009 poster to spread the word in your school, youth club or local council.
The closing date for entries is 6 November 2009, so get those nominations in today...
We can't wait to hear your story!
