Which political issues are you most passionate about?

Transport and entertainment for young people. I believe that the transport system should be changed to encourage young people to use it, because if people are socialised into using the public transport system then they are more likely to continue using it when they are older, thereby solving other political issues such as congestion and pollution. Also provision of entertainment for young people would help to solve teenage drinking and antisocial behaviour, by providing things to do other than hanging round on the streets.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

Public transport as costs for young people, especially those 16 and over, are too high and the quality and frequency of the services are not adequate.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I would like to see transport costs for those under the age of 18 either abolished or heavily decreased and I would also like to improve the quality of the public transport in my area. Furthermore I would like to see more things for young people to do, perhaps in the form of subsidised music venues or gym memberships.

What is your future career ambition?

As yet I am undecided as to what career I want to pursue but I would like to study a Natural Sciences degree.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

Banksy – the well known British street artist. The messages he puts in his art are clever and are done in a way that raises the awareness of people that are normally uninterested in such matters – e.g. the Israel-Palestine situation.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Listen to young people. We are the next generation and the future. We deserve to be heard.
