-------------------------------------------------------- Which political issues are you most passionate about? University tuition fees, and the lack of an official age for becoming an ‘adult’ are two issues which I am extremely passionate about. Adults tend to say we are not an adult until 18, then why are we paying adult fees for some things at ages as young as 14? In my opinion there should be an official “you are now an adult milestone” and you should only pay adult fees from that day on. What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? I think government plans to make university even harder to get into, and more expensive, is an important issue for people in my constituency. As it is quite a rural area, the lack of public transport in the small villages is also an issue that needs to be looked into. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? I hope to campaign alongside other MYPs to get the government to at least cut back uni fees, if not stop them completely. And personally I hope to work well alongside my MP campaigning and hopefully changing some of the little things that only really affect my area, but are important to my constituents. What is your future career ambition? I hope to be a barrister, but would consider running for MP in later life. Which public figure do you most admire and why? I admire many public figures for many different reasons. I admire Obama for making politics cool again. I admire Margaret Thatcher for being the first female PM. I admire Boris Johnson, for an impressive hair colour. I also admire people not in politics such as Angelina Jolie for using their wealth to champion good causes, rather than buy drugs. If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be? LISTEN TO YOUNG PEOPLE! One day we will hold your jobs, and I do not fancy clearing up all of your mess.
