Name: Samantha Till

Which political issues are you most passionate about?

Ever since I have read the local or national newspapers, our generation have been stereotyped as a ‘yob culture’. Constant news reports in the media suggest to the nation that the youth today are undisciplined, loud and anti-social. I want this labelling of young people to end and show that the youth of today want to make a positive impact.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

I believe that in my constituency, 11-18 year olds want somewhere to go and something to do without scrupulous supervision from adults. Facilities for young people links with one of our campaigns and simply means improving what we have where we live, so it can be used by the community, but especially young people.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

In my term of office, I want to emphasise the importance of UKYP to the local schools and councillors in the area, whilst promoting the national, regional and local campaigns to ALL the young people in Rushmoor and Hart.

What is your future career ambition?

I would like to continue being a ‘voice’ for the people in the future and be able to express political views outside of the UKYP. Contrastingly, I have a huge passion for singing and acting and would love to perform in the West End.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I admire people who become well renowned in society for making influential change; however I like to be my own person.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

My message would simply be for the Government to involved young people in their decisions, as many of them affect us, as well as the voting population.
