Which political issues are you most passionate about?

For young people, I’m most passionate about scrapping university tuition fees. I think that higher education is vital for success in today’s society and regardless of the financial help available; it can still be very difficult for many young people to be able to access university education. On a global level, I am most passionate about events in Iran. There are hundreds of thousands of people whose voices have been taken away. They are being misled and mistreated by a corrupt system.

What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency?

In my constituency, I feel that the biggest issue is a lack of things to do. I live in one of the poorest areas of Kent and I see too many young people walking around ‘wasting’ their lives because there is a serious lack of facilities available for them to use. There is not enough support in place for young people in schools and outside of school to aid them in broadening their lifestyle.

What do you hope to achieve during your term of office?

I hope to make UKYP more relatable for the young people in my constituency. Most of them either do not know about it, or think it’s full of posh people who don’t get anything done! I hope that I can make the young people in Kent realise that UKYP is here to try to improve the nation for young people.

What is your future career ambition?

I hope to be a lawyer and to continue to be a voice for the people who need it.

Which public figure do you most admire and why?

I do not admire a particular public figure. This is because I don’t feel I can relate to any person who is in the public eye as there are too many lies and myths circling about any one person who appears to be doing something right. It’s hard to admire someone who you don’t know the truth about.

If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be?

Talk to young people! Instead of ignoring us because we can’t vote for you, go out and speak to them to find out what we actually want instead of assuming!
