Position: MYP
Constituency: Dorset

Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
The portrayal of young people in the media is a huge issue, as we by most adults opinions based on the media are ASBO collecting yobs that wreck our world and harass OAP’s. In reality we are 12% of the population who commit crime; meaning that 88% of crime is committed by adults.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
A National Concession card for the under 18’s to allow free transport on off-peak times because we get no income from anywhere except our parents and should not spend half of that money travelling.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
Working with another MYP from Cornwall I hope to achieve a National Concession travel card. Also I would like to get central Government to help us with the battle of poor media representation in the media.
What is your future career ambition?
From an early age I have wanted to become a paramedic but after getting a taste of politics, an MP is a job that stands out.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I most admire the Queen for at her age of 82 she still travels the world, effortlessly makes speeches and represent Britain at a very high standard as well as looking after her huge family!
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Listen to us. We are the next Prime Ministers and we are people who see the world in a different way to adults. Also just because we are young it doesn’t mean that we don’t have ideas or we don’t have a view on the world as it is.
