Which political issues are you
most passionate about?
Today, I feel that one of the most important issues affecting young people is the issue of Climate change and Global warming. I feel that we are the generation that is able to control what happens in future both for us and the next generation to come and we as young people are the ones that can do something. Also I feel strongly passionate about Diversity and Equality amongst young people. As Britain is becoming a melting pot for diversity, be it gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity, I feel that is vital to celebrate each other and raise awareness about diversity because I love the fact that everyone is individual and unique and I feel that we should all embrace that.
What do you feel is the biggest
issue for young people in your constituency?
In my constituency I feel that raising the awareness of different cultures, and young people with disabilities or different sexual orientations is crucial because I feel that we aren’t educated enough about these matters and that not enough is done to celebrate diversity. People don’t know enough about these issues in general and I feel that it is very important for young people to get to know and appreciate each other.
What do you hope to achieve during
your term of office?
Throughout my term of office I would like to have given young people an opportunity to celebrate diversity and to get a better understanding and wider appreciation about diversity. Also I would like to make a contribution to a better future for young people in regards to Climate Change and Global Warming.
What is your future career ambition?
When I am older I would really like to become a Barrister or work in Law because I am a person who likes to argue and get their point across. Also as a very vocal person, I always want to be heard so that would be the perfect job for someone like me.
Which public figure do you most
admire and why?
I admire various people in the world for various reasons and achievements. I really admire people like Rosa Parks and Mya Angelou for standing up for what they believe in but in a civil way, being a role model and not needing to result to violence to get their point across. Also I admire Mother Teresa because of her helping other people, lending a hand to people who really need help and I think that is really and truly admirable.
If there was one message you could
send to the government, what would it be?
Young people are tomorrow’s leaders, we should all get the recognition we deserve for trying to preserve and shape our future because we are the tomorrow.
Additional comments:
I am really excited to be making changes and being a participant of the UK Youth Parliament and whatever happens we are all in this together.
