-------------------------------------------------------- Which political issues are you most passionate about? Political and Constitutional Reform - restoring peoples' faith in politics (easier said than done!). Increased help and support for young people during family breakdown. And of course, young people having a say in decisions that affect them, in their local community! What do you feel is the biggest issue for young people in your constituency? Transport is a prominent issue in the East Riding. Due to the rurality and size of the county it is very difficult for young people living in villages to go somewhere else, whether it’s to access youth provision, or to meet up with friends. What do you hope to achieve during your term of office? I would like to be known for acting on issues that young people in the area identify need tackling. I would like to effect sustainable and visible change, which can benefit as many young people in the East Riding as possible. What is your future career ambition? I don’t really know, I keep changing my mind! I’ve been thinking about becoming a youth worker, perhaps a political researcher or even a television reporter! Which public figure do you most admire and why? I don’t admire any particular public figure. But I do admire many people in my community. I admire young people who want to express their opinion and make a difference (whilst inspiring others to do the same). I admire my youth workers, for the support they give us, the motivation and drive they have and the fun they bring to the work we do! If there was one message you could send to the government, what would it be? Young people have amazing ideas, listen to them! They know best about what is needed to make their own lives better.
