Young people are embarrassed to talk about sex with their parents, a report commissioned by Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) found today.
The report found that three-quarters of 11- to14-year-olds wished it was easier to talk to their parents about sex but felt uncomfortable doing so. These findings further reinforce the necessity of UK Youth Parliament's campaign for improved and compulsory SRE to give young people the opportunity they are calling out for to talk about sex and relationships.
